What is acceptable in a weeks time for taking in alcohol before it does damage in your opinion?

Beer/Wine/Whisky etc etc!

Paralytic, by US Naval standards, is probably too much. Unable to legally be pilot-in-command by USAF standards is probably just peachy-keen fine. (I'm on my second three-finger martini as I type this. Note there are no typos.)

That's exactly why I asked this question...I see this posted all the time admitting to drinking and posting aka an all around good time.

How much is to much in a weeks time?

1 Fifth a week?
1 case of beer a week?

Or who cares,I'm bullet proof?

Judging by their spelling/grammar I'd say Savage62 and that Kawi guy must be bombed constantly.

I'll 'fess up. My wife and I limit ourselves to "weekends and Wednesdays." Meaning we drink only on those nights. A second drink on those nights - which we call a "a halfa" - is fairly uncommon. So: four drinks a week, and sometimes 4.5 is about it. We go through a 1.75 liter bottle each every five weeks or so. Hers are Manhattans and mine are Martinis. Not excessive, I think.

I'm going to pizz some off here, but I think if you've got kids at home, 1 drink is 1 too many.

Go "alcohol free" for two weeks and see how much you miss it.

I have not had a drink cross my lips since JAN 17 2013. not a major feat for most but was up to a 1/5 in a night after work trying to cope with some of the things from being in the military. went cold turkey one day and havnt looked back. sad to see how many of my fellow marines drink that or more.

I have a framed needle point that my wife did for me and it states..."A fighter pilot is never drunk as long as he can hold on to one blade of grass and not fall off the face of the Earth"

She did another that says..."A fighter squadron is like a Boy Scout troop except the Boy Scout troop has adult supervision."

Quit cold after 30 years of staring at the world through a brown bottle. Dont miss it even a little, 20 years later.

If I wind up in a cell, an ICU or on the floor somewhere I don't recognize, I've had too much. Probably.
