Sooner or later our heritage of hunting is going to be a rich mans sport and the words "Outfitter" and "Hunt Industry" will be synonymous with cancer and A.I.D.S. among blue collar hunters like me and my family! (A.L. Williams - 2010)

Make my own jigs, 1/16 of an ounce, with a single fiber guard made from cutting a guard made for a bass jig in two. Use Southern Pro curley tails, mostly darker shades this year as the water was stained with a Chartruese (sp?)tail. I usually put a Berkely Magnum Floating Power egg on also instead of minnow and skips behind the cables and shoot the docks.
Usually fry them, but wife has me using the George Foreman more and more. Coat them in olive oil and cajun seasoning, 325 F for 5 minutes.

I'm thinking they would be great fun on an ultra light rig! Strangely enough, they are on my list of species to catch during my travels.

I grew up fishing the Little Niangua arm up there. Nothing better than fresh crappie filets. Nicely done getting the kids out.
