Another thread made me think of this. It is kind of laughable now, but we were the Fighting Jackrabbits. My mom also graduated from there and the school had her draw the mascot. Bet it instills fear in the opponents. Hahaha!!!

My hometown Louise, tx was the hornets. Now A city between Austin and San Antonio, TX, called New braunfels has a official mascot the unicorn. They even have a unicorn painted on the water tower.

My high school was the Trojans. At some point before I started there, they changed it to the Gladiators. I don't know who made that decision, but I always appreciated it. grin
