I happen to own this rifle and was wondering if any one can tell me when it was made? The serial number is(96xxxx)and is in 308cal. The stock was damaged and I have repaired it the original owner must have fell with it and cracked both sides. the barrel has light surface rust and the muzzle has a few dings on the under side of the muzzle.

Should be a late 1950s gun. 1958 or 1959 I would think.

Found the year manufacture code on the lever boss and it's K so that makes it a 1959 EG.
