Every time I see that map of the United States colored in Red and Blue, showing the areas of the country that Obama carried it makes me not like several states very much.
Also, can someone explain to me how the colors were handed out? When I was growing up, the communists were referred to as "reds". If there is a political party in the United States that deserves to be colored red, it'd be the Democrat Socialist party.

Is a flat tax a reasonable alternative? What are the arguments against it? I understand all the drama over "it not being fair to the low income earners" .... But aside from that red herring..... How much does it cost to run the IRS?
So serious question, does the concept of a flat tax have real merit?

Flat tax won't pass because of all of the ones that are now getting refunds without paying anything in might just have to pay something.

If there is a political party that deserves to be colored red, it'd be the Democrat Socialist party. Not sure about that , but they sure got right and left correct. I agree that the colors are wrong. Right/left is not correct either. It should be right/wrong.

I don't know where that came up, but it is a recent (last 20 years) thing. I suspect that it was first put out there by the liberal media, like CNN.

1.repeal the income tax
2.abolish the IRS
3.pass the "Fair Tax"
4.live happily ever after
