BD,
time and money!
I bet if you got the cash, someone would be happy to take the time to ship you one.
And as to one of those, you'd be able to use it and keep everyone else in the dark.
GWB Sadly, that's all true. I have an emotional problem with scopes costing more than 2, maybe 3 rifles. GFM now. Then you'd want a suppressor of course. That's another six benjamins. Plus you need a LLC, LLP or Corporation to get a tax stamp for the suppressor, another three benjamins. Toss out another two benjamins for threading the barrel of the subsonic 300 Whisper or AAC blackout you paid $2k for and a $200 set of reloading dies. So after $8 to $9K, your a little better off than using the $139 XLR 250 Kill Light. But its only money! Best GWB Might ring the weird a little, but I wouldn't go that way actually. There's two applications for such sights to my way of thinking. One uses a 'get down to it' cartridge that can take advantage of the optical reach those systems have. I don't think the Whisper and Blackout fit that description. The other use would be on a quality .22 LR bolt gun. 26-28" barrel and SV ammo, there won't be enough noise to fret about and it'll shoot minute of eyeball out to 100 yards or so. It has been demonstrated repeatedly that a bullet wound to the eye will distract the recipient from assigned tasks 100% of the time. BD

Since pics of recent builds are in order, here is my Ruger 260 done up by Eddie Fosnaugh. It's coming to Montana with me in October... Wow! Details, man, details! GWB Ruger MKII SA, stainless 24" Douglas #2. Eddie coated all the metal in graphite black, then pillar bedded the rifle in a McMillan MKII Hunter (Sako). Shoots great, feels great. I really like the stock... I wanted the look of a blued/wood rifle, but something that would stand the elements. The McWoody and some paint on the stainless achieved my goal! I'm thinking I'll bust a cow elk and Mulie with it this fall... I have the same stock on my pre-64 300 H&H. Shoots well too! Group on the left at 100 yds. Three shots 180gr Barnes TTSX.

Aw shucks, still a little dangerous if not rushed, but I gotta say I went from young to 105 years old in one day back in May '69. Managed to backpedal a bit later on, but the memory lingers even if other things don't.
Pantherpiss, it'll either cure you or make you not give a chitt. Cheers!

Tuner, that bottom metal looks like dog chit. Don't hate it 'cuz you want it... You're young and preoccupied with appearance. Sell it to me and avoid the pointing and snickers behind your back.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

Mickey Coleman seems to know what he's doing. I'll chock the flier up to a combination of the 25mph wind gusts and my alcoholism having an effect on my shooting ability on a Sunday morning. Dave

Dave Not to shabby for offhand @200 yds, over your shoulder while using a mirror. (Hint) using a rest may tighten your groups Best GWB

Those are the Nosler Custom Competitions. 77 grainers. The 69 Sierras looked very similar. I'll load up a bunch more for fire forming and take it from there. I'll switch him to the A-Maxes when things return to normal. I have about 1,000 of those Sierras anyway. The 64gr. Rangers went about an 1 1/4". Travis

Tried the 64gr Nosler BSB in a .22-250 this morning with H-414 and going to try Var-Get now and if that powder does not work,I'll try RL-15.
