I like mango salsa....and I've never made any. Tips? Yep, here comes easy recipe: 2 mangos- cut into cute little yellow cubes 1/2 red bell pepper- same cute cube cut... 1/2 small red onion-diced a half a fistful of cilantro- fresh and diced. 2T Honey 2T Rice Vinegar, or balsamic 2T Lime juice dash-o-salt Stir it all up together and try to let it sit in the fridge a few hours for the flavors to marry. Excellent on grilled chicken ( especially teriyaki) pork, or grilled fish. Also good on plain old tortilla chips. No jalapenos or habaneros? Put in one or both of those, ommit the bell pepper, vinegar, and honey, that's what I make. Very good on grilled pork tenderloin.

Geedub and ingwe are keeping me grounded! Slow twists and wood stocks ain't just for history lessons muthaphuckas!
Travis How 'bout a dab more..... Being a gun whore, I just couldn't pass this one up for the price. I am a righty, but considering the wood, it was a Cooper and a VE at that, I jumped. I shot it right handed. It's kinda neat setting it up on the bench, having your ammo on the left, hooking the fingers of your right hand over the scope then lifting the bolt with your right thumb and loading ammo, left port with your left hand. And did I mention it was a shooter. Best GWB PS: just to show that I do try to maintain balance, I'll post pix of a 223 AI, 8 twist and an AR in 6 x 45 with a 9 twist in another installment.

Have a good friend who decided to get back into shooting after he retired. Asked who was making good rifles. So I told him Cooper, NULA, Dakota, Cooper, and he just wanted to cheap out mebbe a Savage. Then he asks about reloading. Some time later I was going over to his side of the state and dropped by. We went to the range. He set up at 100 yds and I had to ask why? He never had shot any of his 3 Coopers or 2 Dakotas beyond 100. So I had set up the slug rifle at 200 and told him to shoot my target. Sumbitch clover leafed a group with the .308 Cooper. He said he never thought he could do that. I told him he sucked. Don't think he's been on the 200 yd line since, except when he goes to 600. Make that Turbo Sucks. We're getting a new range locally very soon. It will be 15 minutes from home and has a 600 yd line. I suck.
I am..........disturbed.

So today my buddy calls me while I'm in the tractor. Wife is outta town for 2 weeks and he lets my dogs out to piss.
About 6 he calls and says some [bleep] shot through your slider door on the front of the house. Sweet, anther FAS(that's fetal alcohol syndrome for those of you off the Rez) drive-by shooting.
He gets to looking around and wait a second, nope just a rock from the mower guy doing the 'park' across the street. How in the [bleep] a rock flew that far is beyond me but that's what happened. 40lbs of glass on a tarp.
[bleep].
Double pane, the remaining glass should be good to go for?
Hopefully until we get a rain day at least.

I kinda went batshit crazy for Coopers a few years ago. At one point I had 13 in house. Most of my shooting is done 200 yds. or under. Down here, no prairie dogs or whistle pigs. Most varmints such as coyote and fox I call in less than 50 yds. Consequently most of my load development is done at 100 yds. I do shoot at 200 and 300, but not for load development. Here is a Montana Varminter ...... Looks like this! Cooper model 22, Montana Varminter, 6.5 x 284 Shoots like this! 100 yds. 3 different loads 200 yds. 3 different loads Kills stuff DRT I say, why not! His collection of Coopers, two are the MV version including the .308. CM barrels. Other MV is a .223. I forget the third. Dakotas are .223 and 7mm Rem. He asked me about scopes and I said Leupold, Swarovski, Chitt Bender and such. He went whole hog on Leups, except for a Zeiss. His load bench is made of black walnut. He sucks. The target he shot that day was a bit like your first, 'cept it was a perfectly symmetrical three holes touching cloverleaf. His smile coulda lit the other side of the planet probably. Guy has been wrasslin' with some serious cancers for the last several years. Hope he shoots some more leafs.... If he had another car it would probably be a Maserati. Dunno if he has a fur lined potty or not. Coopers rock. I like fondling Dakotas but I'm biased, having one of D. Allen's builds that just barely preceded the establishment of Dakota Arms. 2 digit serial, 7x57: Pedestrian Dan

Hopefully until we get a rain day at least. BTDT.. you can stand six feet away from a slider, throw a brick at it and it will bounce off. But a little rock off a string trimmer will take 'em right out. Call the city and tell them their mower took out your winder.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

PS: Those are some very nice velocity spreads on the first two targets. How do it do for longer strings?

Hey, I resemble that remark! Don't tell anyone, K?
'Morning all!
Mowers can throw chitt a long way. Years ago, young an enterprising in nature, I was mowing lawns in the neighborhood. Ran over a kid's cap pistol and it coughed up the barrel and grip to the infield, but the frame looked like it would beat John Glenn into the edge of space. Took out a car window about 100 yards down the street.
In retrospect I'm kinda proud of that shot considering degree of difficulty and all.

Mower guy is the son of one the neighbors. He drove right over and apologized, offered to pay for the window.
All good, I was just wondering how long the remaining pane could be left in without creating a problem. Should be fine unless another rock hits its it I guess.
