Got a call from the PD Sunday morning.

"Sir, your ex-wife called and said she is supposed to pick the kids up for Mother's Day."

"Correct"

"She says she is afraid to come to your house and wants you to meet her down here."

"I don't care."

"Is this something you'd be willing to accomodate her with this morning."

"No."

"She says she doesn't want to come to your residence."

"Then tell her to get a divorce decree that states I have to meet her somewhere, or to file for a restraining order. I don't alter my Sunday mornings because of people's imaginations"

"Thanks sir. We'll let her know."

All model 21, 22, and 38's are single shots. The model 52,52, and 56 are repeaters.

Years ago it was hard to find factory iterations of different 17's such as the 17 ackley hornet, 17 hebee, 17 mach4 17 ackley bee.
19 cals
20 cals such as the 20 killer bee, 20 vartarg, Tactical 20

And even harder to find customs at the price I could buy Cooper's used.

All but one of the Coopers I've owned were single shots.

I don't hunt dangerous game other than hogs. I keep a sidearm on me at all times when I'm in the field. How often do you have to shoot more than once so fast that a single shot would not be viable..........

When I was in high school, we heard breaking glass. Found one of the crank-out windows at the side of the picture window in the livingroom had half a rock between the two panes. Neighbor across the way was mowing around his rock drive with what we always called a weed mower (flat deck/no guards). Dad went over to talk to him. Ed saw Dad coming and walked over to meet him. Dad explained what had happened, Ed immediately agree, they looked down where they were standing, and there was the other half of the rock right at their feet.

As to the throwing the brick at the window: Also in high school, someone had an old television that they were relegating to the dump. A couple of us hauled it out there for them and thought that we would have some real fun throwing rocks at the picture tube and watching it explode. After considerable effort, we decided that Sandy Koufax wouldn't be able to break the damned thing. We laid it face-up, backed up the pick-up, stood on top of the truck with the biggest chunk of concrete we could find, dropped it onto the thing, and awaited the expected explosion. It just sort of collapsed with a disappointing sigh.

My good friend is going through similar schit. His ex hasn't let him see his boy in 4 weeks because she doesn't "trust" his new girl friend. Worst is he works on the road and isn't home as it is, so when he's home it'd be nice to see the boy before he goes back out, she knows that and plays the game against him...
