trijicon HD's. Very visible in almost any light condition, Sharp angle on the rear sight, and solid construction that allows you to use the rear sight to operate the slide on a belt or pocket should you be restricted to only using one hand for any reason.

Trijicon HD's. The front yellow ones actually have a greenish tint that my old eyes have no trouble picking up.

Heine Straight Eight's are awesome. Any reason that the heines are better than the trijicons for home defense type situation? Thanks

Heine Straight Eight's are awesome. Any reason that the heines are better than the trijicons for home defense type situation? Thanks One the Heine's, the Front & Rear sight have one Tritum dot each. So your sight picture stacks one dot on top of the other like a figure 8. The way I figure it, you won't get confused in a dark area & mistakenly align the 3 dots night sights incorrectly. Which could cause you to shoot way left or right. Plus I just hate the 3 dot type sight configurations. JMHO

Our duty guns have trijicons and i really like them. My personal glock 22 has tru glo TFO. On it. They are tritium/ fiber optic. And glow like the dickens during the day. As well as night. I really wanted trijicons. But unless you can find them in stock you are looking at an 8 week lead time for them to ship

That's a lot of internet BS...........go out & actually try it at night, pretty hard to get confused unless of course, you never done it before. In almost any case, the gun is up & in your hand, in a ready position at or near eye level & pointing; pretty easy (at least for me) to stay/get oriented to my sights. MM

Step 1:
Buy a set of Trijicon's that fit a Smith & Wesson M&P
Step 2:
Throw out the Glock
Step 3:
Install sights on your new M&P and enjoy a much better gun
You are welcome

Ameriglo pro operator's
Trijicon inserts/ ledge style rear. (like Heine or Trijicon HD)
White outline on front only speeds picking up the front sight (day)
Cheaper than Heine or Trijicon HD and just as good.
Run them on all my (superior to S&W M&P) GLOCKS!

In almost any case, the gun is up & in your hand, in a ready position at or near eye level & pointing; pretty easy (at least for me) to stay/get oriented to my sights. MM A shooting timer will confirm that the Heine Straight Eight system is superior to any other 3-dot system. A less-than perfect grip (like when your azzhole is real tight, cause someone is trying to kill you) will present the weapon with sights a tad askew. If your front sight dot is behind one of the rear sight dots, and you yank the trigger, who the hell knows where it is going? I am of the opinion that a rear sight with a MUCH wider notch (at least 0.156 on a Glock) with NO Tritium, combined with a front sight like the new Trijicon HD, might just be the ultimate carry gun setup. I would like to see a side-to side comparison, at night of the above compared to the Heine system done with timers and a lot of good shooters. I KNOW either is superior to the "conventional" 3-dot setup.
