The boys learned how to ride a bycicle without training wheels last night! I tell ya what, that is just plain fun watching two 5 year old boys learn that. Hunter won a bike over the weekend and that kind of spurred it. Only 1 bandaid used!
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

I didn't think my grandson was ever going to get rid of the training wheels. Family friend was at their place one day and he took Wyatt across the street to the chruch parking lot and had him riding in 5 minutes.

When our son was three (now 15) he rode his little bike over to Grandpa's house, pointed at his training wheels and said "I want these off gampa" Grandpa took them off and the little fart rode his bike home without them with no help. The other son (now 14) was 5 when I took his training wheels off. I grabbed on to his seat to get him started and he started peddling so fast I couldn't keep up. Down the driveway, across the street and into the curb. Over the handle bars he went. He got up and said "that was FUN!!"

Both of our boys took off on the bikes with no training wheels without dumping the bike. Like they had been riding without the trainers all along.

It sure is fun watching. Just pure excitement on their little faces mixed in with some determination and concentration. Big smiles all around.

My daughter got her training wheels off when she was 6 after a long fought battle to get them to come off...He brother (4 at the time)didn't want to be left out so his came off too. He rode as fast as his little legs could peddal and completely wiped out. He got up and saw everyone waiting for his reaction and kicked his bike like it was the bikes fault...he climbed back on and now rides all the time.

I just realized I haven't had a drink in over 2 1/2 months, I stepped on a shipping scale at work and it looks like I'm down 15 or 20 lbs too.

A shipping scale at work? Tell me that thing aint rigged to read low! Just kidding, that is fantastic. I wish I could do that but I am not a drinker. I have never finished a beer in my life....just cant stand the stuff. I do have a wine cooler 3-4 times per year though. I know, that is pretty manly, aint it?
Just when the weather go nice enough to start running, I got sick and just couldnt get out there for the last week or so. Congrats to you there Dave, that is quite the accomplishment!

Your weight loss is quite noticable as well Dave. I belive I commented to you on that at the service for Dusty. I should do the same but man I like drinkin beer! Maybe I'll just cut it back to saturdays only though. I hate drinking on friday nights. Something about the long work week mixed with a few beers makes for a partially wasted saturday feeling less than par. Good for you for sticking to it this long!

Funny thing is I haven't missed it at all.
Maybe because we haven't exactly had springtime weather yet, maybe because I'm too busy working on my road runner, I don't know but it just hasn't been something I've missed at all.
