Looking to get a semi auto 12ga. Want matte finish or camo. Not gonna spend much over 700 on one.

Right now im leaning towards a Franchi Affinity. Bass pro has em for 699.
Anybody have a opinion on these guns? Any others i should consider?

Beretta A300. I believe they area a hybrid between the tried and true 391 and the Extrema systems. I havent shot one, but Beretta makes great autos. I would personally put them and Benelli's significantly ahead of the others. But that is my personal opinion, go fondle them and see what you think.

The A300 is $650 in synthetic. You are thinking of the A400 MontanaCreekHunter those are definitely out of his price range.

There are basically three semi autos in your price range new. You could get the Winchester SX3, Beretta A300 Outlander or the Franchi Affinity. I believe all three come with a shim kit to change the LOP if necessary. The SX3 and the A300 are both gas guns therefore a little less recoil then the inertia operated Franchi. All three of the guns weigh right around 7 pounds which is pretty decent for a 12.

I've read good things about basically all three guns, and a few bad things about each. I think if you pick any of three you will do just fine.

I would try to look used and find a Beretta 391.

This will compare the A300 and Affinity pretty well. These guys know their stuff.

Your right I forgot about the A300.

A used 390 or 391 wouldn't be a bad thing that is for sure.

I will say stay away from the stoegers. Thats the next step down after the franchi's. I have one that I will be off loading mechanically it is sound however the stock comes loose every 300 rounds.

The 391 is a great gun. If I could find a 20 in it for a decent price i would be all over it. I am having trouble getting used to the semi humpback of the 390 20 gauge I got.

Look for a 3901, round back, 390 gas system and the availability of synthetic stocks a plus. The only drawback to the 391.

I have one of each:

I like the 391, but love the 3901.
