I have a Ruger MK-1 Bull Barrel I purchased new. From the serial # info. it was manufactured in 1970. It still shoots very well. I am having trouble with the magazines. I have two that work just fine. One is the plastic Ramline 12 shot Mag, which I understand is no longer made, and one of the 10 shot MK-11 mags that I modified. The two other mags are the original 9 shot models. Both of these will not feed properly, and more often or not jam. The cartridges either feed too high or do not feed at all. Sometime back I saw on one website how a simple correction could be made on this problem. I can no longer locate this site. Does anyone know or could suggest a fix for this problem? I sure would appreciate any answers.
Thanks in advance

Sounds like the feed lips need to be adjusted. In general, if the rounds feed high, the lips are too far apart causing the magazine to lose it's grip on the round before it enters the chamber, in which case you would need to bend them in slightly. Be very careful when test feeding as you are using live rounds.

Well guess what....I was using Peters rn .22 rimfires. They worked with the old Ramline plastic 12 rounder and the 10 shot converted MK 11 magazine but not with the 2 stock Ruger 9 shot magazines. Before getting the needle nose pliers and proceed to bend and squeeze, etc.I decided to try some other ammo in the two 9 shooters. Voila! I tried some Remington Match .22 ammo and they worked perfectly! The Peters ammo was/is strictly for plinking and will remain that until I use the cheap buggers up.
