I was told by a guy that if someone changes a flash suppressor and does not change the crush washer. that gas could leak out .
Is he pulling my leg?

This same expert now informs me that I cannot simply snip off a coil from the rebound slide coil spring in order to do a trigger job on a S&W revolver. Instead I need to buy springs from Brownell's. Sheesh! whelennut
