I just returned from a very successful safari. Thought some of you might like to see what a really good elephant looks like. Tusks are 92 and 91 pounds each. I can't believe this is real and I got him. Anyways, I shot him with my Winchester 70 in .416RemMag during the day tracking him NOT at night raiding crops. We found the wallow he used during the night. He rubbed on this tree when muddy. Fresh spoor. Tusker down! From lip to tips were 49" and 53". Circumference is 19" around. They carry the weight out through the tusk. He looks like the ones from the good old days. I really got lucky!

Great job and a fantastic bull! I use the exact same rifle for Africa and hope to make it back one day. Please give us more details on the hunt, country, PH, etc. Also, what bullet did you use?
