Just got through reading the civil war thread. Just got me thinking, do you think this country will see another civil war in the near distant future? Say a hundred years or so? If so, what sort of thing would likely trigger it? Class warfare? Or, are most people too soft now days? Discuss....

That's what the gov.is banking on.

I don't think it will ever be another war between the states. If it happens it will be more of a revolution IMO.

Not in this world of obese cube rat, X Box playing, smart phone addicted dweebs. Someone else would have to do it for them while they tweeked their fantasy battalion.

I'd say that in ten years or less it's going to get bloody.
Not exactly a civil war along the lines of the last one, but some sort of revolution that may be regional. Maybe both coasts against the middle.

Sorry but you are late for the dance. The war started in the '60s and has accelerated since.

If it all comes down, I'm gonna put in a bid for the libertarians to get North Carolina,....mountains in the west,..ocean in the east,..and a very interesting transition between.

Yeah,...us libertarians will take North Carolina,..and the various political knothead factions can fight over the rest of it while we're hikin' and fishin'.

More likely that there will be a global fire drill before then that will sort the wheat from the chaff...most world/global war veterans have their fill of killing and dying by the time they get home.

It seems to me that those who are prepared/desire to kill the most, have not done so and a bit of experience tempers that willingness.

too much social inertia. I can't see a Civil War taking place any time soon.

I see fighting between areas geographic. we seem more separated than ever cause of race and politics. When it comes, it will be as nasty as it gets. Welfare people want it for free and working class are going to say you have enough. I predict flash mob robberies in the suberbs and country.

When {if} it happens it won't be the coasts against the middle, it will be country folks {conservatives} against city folks {socialists} and the country folks will kick some serious azz.
