I had a significant problem with them when they failed to keep their word and got pretty nasty about it.
Would not trust them or do business with them again.
Others at the Fire have had similar problems with MRC and they may respond here.

If you buy one of their receivers, just remember that you will have to treat it as one that may need a complete remachine to square it up.

From everything that I've heard about MRC, my preference would be to get a M70 Classic action as a donor.
Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.

I consider the new production rifles from MRC to be top notch. I've only owned one, but handled many. My pick of the litter is the XWR--SS.
This rifle is what the stainless Model 70 should be..
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

I remember back when they first announced they would be making the actions and took pre-orders for them. Folks that sent in money had some crazy wait times to ever lay hands on their product.

I have a LH MRC stainless action & barreled 338 WM.
The gun is very well done, the trigger needed a little attention but out of the box it was as good as most others.

Bought two barreled actions from them, '05 and '08, both shoot great and have no problems with them. Two friends bought one each, '05, with same results. Others opinions may vary.

I bought one of the charter actions and had them barrel it to 375 H&H. It was about an 11 month wait. I knew it wouldn't be fast so I didn't get too spun up on the time. Mine was finished well, shoots well and functions flawlessly. Of course the 375 feeds easily anyway. I used a model 70 take off stock for mine. It took a little work but it looks decent and shoots well.

I have two Montana Left Hand Rifles , one in 264 Win Mag and one in 243 Win. the 264 Win Mag with Montana Barrel i stocked in a LH Model 70 HS Precision Stock and the 243 Win has a PacNor SS Barrel and i stocked it in a McMillan Edge , both are 1/2 min. rifles. I like the Montana 99 action and i just ordered the actions only from them and never had a problem with this company and they were shipped within a week after i ordered .

I have one of their charter issues, could not be happier with it, excellent gun, very accurate, great company to work with. I'd do it again if I didn't already have more guns than I need

Yep, no complaints about the product but when you tell me in stock and six months later I don't have my action, well.... I would not buy from them again. Too many other alternatives.

The original actions weren't blue-printed. Instead they were intended to be a basic unit, to be trued and finished by a gunsmith, including tweaking to feed a particular cartridge--a common thing with controlled-feed actions, unless the round is really generic, like the .30-06. The latest actions are more refined. I've had a 7x57 made on the short (actually medium-length) Montana 1999 action for a number of years now, made by Serengeti Rifles. They did the finish work on the action, and it has always functioned perfectly and shot accurately--and it has a Montana barrel as well. I reviewed a Montana XWR rifle in the May 2013 issue of GUNS magazine, along with a Forbes rifle. You can read it on-line by logging onto www.gunsmagazine.com, clicking on "digital editions," then scrolling down to the issue.

I have one of their left handed charter offer actions (Ser. No. 0004) and couldn't be any happier with it.
