Hey I'm new to this and trying to figure it out. I'm looking for a Savage model 99C 7mm-08. My grandpa had given me one which was later stolen and I believe it went to a pawn shop. i would like to try to own another one. Please help and let me know if you got one for sale. Thanks

That really sucks!!! So sorry to hear. Im looking to convert a 99 243 to 7mm-08 myself, If I come across a 7mm08 in my search, you will be the first to known.

There's a couple guys on the Savage collectors thread that have them, one was for sale I believe.

They were a very short run 99 production, so they are always very expensive when they show up (at least relative to my shooting budget they are). Those guys will help track you down a 99 in 7-08 if you have the funds.

It will never be your grandfather's gun, and that's a shame, but you will be money ahead to buy a 99cx308 and have it rebarreled to 7-08

Man guys I sure appreciate it. I do have the funds...depending on how much. I know they are pretty expensive. But I feel I've GOT to replace it. Just don't seem right if I don't. I'm keeping my I out still and let me know if anybody runs across one.
