Work on my little cabin has commenced, through the heat and mosquitoes progress will be made.

Ready to float down river

Some stuff came in by wheeler

Brush and a few trees need removing

Only stumbled upon 3 hornets nest so far, killed a billion bugs and almost misplaced my pruners in the forest floor ( good thing I wrapped pink duct tape on the handle). The cabin will be 12 x 16 with a shed roof and much glass in the front. Dog yard will be close by and easily visible from inside.

Best of luck, Elf. As said above, keep us informed and take a few pictures of progress.

Please take pictures of the process. Whatever it looks like, you are living many a mans dream!

A pic thread would be fun grin, I'll try to keep you all up to date.

The yellow thing you made note of is to try to make it so the dishes don't slide off the counter. But first I gotta find the instructions for the bugger, for some reason there are little bubbles inside of the dang thing confused whistle

I've found a couple of light taps with a hammer will usually let the air out of those things, they're lot less frustrating to use after that.

Please be sure the shed roof is oriented to NOT dump snow on the steps or any where else foot traffic is required.

Ask me how I know. blush

The yellow thingy with the bubbles in it, seeing if the block is level
before going any further. Cabin will be 3 ft off the ground.

Landed a killer deal on windows through Craigslist. Got 6 brand new never out of the box double pane tilt windows for $10 a piece. Then found some new tall skinny ones at another sale. All in all 17 windows for a killer price.
