Hey folks. I was approached about a trade for an 1895 45/70. It's in new condition with a JM (?) proof mark. What would something like that be worth? I'm not very well read on the Marlins. I listed a M700 Mountain 7-08 for sale here locally and this trade offer came up. I figured a quick question here with you all would turn up more than a bunch of net surfing. Thanks a bunch.

For me and some others, it would depend on if it was an early enough version to not have the infernal frame mounted button safety. I won't buy or trade for a Marlin or Winchester that has one.

2x for me! hate the buttons. had a glenfield 30-30 about 30 yrs ago with one and that cured me.
