Finally got a moose draw after years of trying. Now all i need to do is find the moose. Has anyone ever hunted moose in region 4-33?

I got a grizzly tag a long ways from where I actually applied, it turns out they gave a bunch of leftover tags out to unsuccessful applicants. I don't have the time to be able to make the 2 day drive to where the tag is. Going to hunt regular open area spots for goat, moose and deer and make a trip over to the Queen Charlottes for deer in late October or November.

I missed the deadline to apply so got nada.

Unusual spring for us with medical problems for wife, surgery for me, some unusual work stresses. Wife normally runs my calendar of deadlines and we missed a couple of those while she was off duty! laugh

Like gerrygoat's distant grizzly tag, a surprising number of LEH draws over the years have turned out to be less than the ideal intended, causing me to hunt an area I would not have otherwise in the weather/snow/migration conditions when the time of the hunt arrived, etc. A few drawn from the "anywhere" leftover bin have required such distant travel that I have not bothered to pursue them.

Cutting back to part time retirement, I plan to hunt mule deer, black tails, have a moose tag in pocket but not hunt them actively, maybe go rattle whitetails, definitely hunt cougar through the winter, my favorite.

I came up with nothing, and two friends had the same experience. I applied for shared moose near McBride, antlerless elk near Creston, and Ashnola sheep.
