I've been out of the .22 game for a while but may have a chance to pick up a used, but close to new condition Marlin Golden 39A. Can anyone give some insight as to what might be a fair price to pay for something like that? This one seems to be a recent model with decent checkered walnut. Asked this over in Marlin Talk as well, but seems to be a little bigger crowd over here. Thanks.

Around $400 for a late one. I gave a little more for my '71 '39D.

In good shape with no real issues anything under 450.00 is a bargain.

If memory serves, this particular piece has longer serial number that begins with 90. I've Googled and seem to find different info, but guessing this might be a 2010 manufactured piece.

The best thing to do is to go to GunBroker and see what ones with actual bids on them are bringing. That or the "Buy Now" price from somebody who's a regular dealer.

Well...it came home with me today! It's actually a slightly earlier piece than I thought - awesome condition, JM stamp, all the fun stuff. I shot my first about 30 years ago and have wanted one ever since. Better late than never. I'm going to stick a peep on it and call it good.

Now...unfortunately I have a revolver I need to take pictures of for an ad - something had to give to get this.

I shot one a as a kid. They are superb. The national market says $500-550, maybe a little more. They are worth it.

Thank you. It was a great find and was built the same year (1971) as my 336.
