gunny sack, bricks and bridge. sorry couldn't resist. spray his markings with ammonia. might stop him from hitting the same places twice. also a shot of ammonia while he is doing it tends to get their attention. if it wasn't the kids i'd suggest a ride to the animal shelter. good luck. remember a cat owns you and has no loyalty to you.

Bullets, back in the day...
I've been a life-long, avowed cat hater. That would explain why I now have two of the b*stards.
One just cost me a room full of carpet AND a new dresser. She's been in another room during the re-carpeting, and hasn't had a single problem. It seems like it becomes habit for them, and a change of scenery can sometimes make them forget about it.
Naturally, you should probably have your vet rule out any health-related causes.
And if a new place doesn't work, there's always bullets.

wonder if the same (all the above) will work for the incumbent?

.410, otherwise it might perform some last minute screeching acrobatics before dying. When I was a kid, my folks told me the garage door must have been " accidentally" left open and my cat " ran away" one night....

Mothballs scattered around the areas it likes to spray. A spray bottle of water and squirt it whenever it looks like it will do the deed.

Strange he's still doing this being fixed. I did a little search on Google and found it can be health related or even stress related here are a couple of links that may help. http://www.catchat.org/urination.htmlhttp://www.catsofaustralia.com/cat-spraying-urine.htmGood luck.

Do you have more than one cat? If so, its a territory/competition/social hierarchy thing amongst them.
I had a Siamese female who never made a mess in the house...everything was in the litterbox. Moved in with my wife (girlfriend at the time), who had five cats; all of a sudden, my cat started spraying, especially any place I frequented (office, chair, ect). She was marking her parts of the house.
