Baseball-tennis ball hail storms south of us earlier.
We dodged it.
Baseball hail would really hurt. I arrived in my home for the week of Baker MT, and when the temp dropped 20 degrees in a few minutes I thought my truck was about to be dimpled, but it was a bunch of rain and the race to get into the local car wash was entertaining.....The locals taping cardboard to the windsheilds and other parts of their cars was a bit disconcerning though. Selling beer in the grocery store is nice though.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the 284/277 education, elkhunternm.
One of my favorite cartridges is the straight 284 Winchester. But I do have a 270 and a 7X57 also. All good cartridges, and like you said, they are all pretty much the same on the receiving end.
Now don't go a-hatin', geedubya..... No one is threatening ya'... Hey, no problem, I'm almost a FNG myself. As to hatin', Not me, just thought it kinda funny that ones shows up out of the blue, six posts, all in the same forum in one day and then if serious that feller wouldn't know what a 270 was, but would know about a 7 x 57? Perhaps I took you literally when you was just funnin'. My bad. Carry on soldier. Time tells all tales, and have fun. Best GWB No problem with you on my part either.
