I have an opertunity to purchase a 99 heavy barrel made in 1924 in .303 SAvage. I have never seen one here in Canada before. Is this a hard to find model state side?

See them often enough at gun shows. Don't think the demand for them is as high as others models. GW

If you are talking about a 99 C there weren't a lot of them made.

Not sure what model you equate to 'heavy barrel'?

I'd love to get my hands on another one. Mine was a tack driver with a Lightfoot mount and a Redfield 2-7X.

Yes to all that. The only flaw is sling swivel holes.
