Sorry to hear that about the basement Gopher!

Happy Birthday a day late Stan! I figured you were 27, not 72!!! grin

Nice to hear you got the roof done Griz.

Hope the house is rounding into shape Dave and that you find a buyer asap. You dont wanna be moving during hunting season!

My deer camp is chugging along. We have some older guys and they are still hanging in there. Our next generation is just my cousin and I and he might be fading a little. The next generation has some promise though.

My PF chapter is hosting a Parent/Daughter shoot so I am bringing my daughter with me. It will be her first time shooting a shotgun. I am really looking forward to it.

over the last few days. I have a growing appreciation for what Dave does more and more every time I work on this sucker. The goal is to test run this baby on some logging roads early this fall!

Tom-we actually did pretty good. The problem was we had to get the basement somewhat put back together by this morning, as Cathy has 12 kids coming for pre-school. Because of the sewage overflow, everything it contacted had to be pitched or sanitized. We filled the little dumpster full, and got the floor addressed, including bleaching it. She'll have to run it just with the concrete floor until we get another set of the rubber matts. Those things were a life saver as they don't soak up the water, so were easy to remove.

I woke up about 3:30 with my back just killing me. Finally got back to sleep around 5-heck, that's when I usually get up. Oh well, a couple handfulls of ibuprofen helps. 'Gonna be a long day, I gotta work 10-8 today and still have to help Cathy haul all the cleaned up stuff out of the garage and back to the basement. We need to come up with one set of shelving, as one got wrecked by the flood-it was that particle board crap which is shot once it gets wet.

Looks good Tom, you'll have fun this fall on forest trails idling around looking for grouse and scouting deer hunting spots.

No jeff, this the new shop that was built higher. It was parked next to the garage you, Dave, and I shoveled though. Where my '55'was parked it and swamped.

I hope so Dave. It will far from a show truck but it will still look nice. There are more pics over on the 4x4 thread I started many moons ago in hunting trucks/4x4 section of the campfire.

Truck looks good Tzone, me and a couple buddy's went out to the forest this weekend and rode around. We stopped to let the bikes to cool down and I walked around and looked for blueberries!!! Most of them in that spot were blue but some were still a little white, I think next weekend would be the perfect time to pick.

Hold my mountain dew & watch this.

I do plan on being out there next weekend boy. We better charge the battery on that little red wheeler. Maybe Joey can ride that one. I hope Missy and Scott can make it up, hope they drag some passengers along for the ride too.

It should be a great time!

Be sure to pick a couple gallons of berries for me too, Dave. If they're the size of the ones we get in Pa., you should have about a cup full by the time the snow starts flying!

We used to pick berries in an old abandoned farmstead up on top of the mountain by our camp in Pa. Dad always told me to keep my eyes open for bears up there, and sure enough, we were up there picking one time and all most stepped on a bear, sound asleep in the middle of the berry patch. Must have gorged it's self on the berries and laid down for a little siesta. It was laying flat on it's back, snoring like a chainsaw. We just quietly backed out and let him have his beauty sleep. 'Decided it was best non to disturb him-he might wake up on the wrong side of the bed and be none too pleased with our intrusion.

haha! Yeah we never know what size they will be. I really think it will be good this year and I expect some decent size (decent for wild berries anyways)

We have everybody pick and fill little Styrofoam coffee cups then dump the cups into a centrally located bucket in the picking area. It makes it feel like you are getting somewhere that way since them little cups fill up way faster than if everybody had a bucket.

I cant wait!
