Dream catchers

My dad turned 84 this week so we are getting together tomorrow. I have 15 lbs of pork roast to smoke for pulled pork and firecracker slaw sammiches . His favorite pie is hot or cold with raisin coming in second so I might make one .

I spent my Friday working, drove to Chicago, temp was 95, heat index was 100, worked for 6 hours, and drove back.

on the clock for 22 hours. Nice place to work, anyway. Wonderful people, by the way.

I got home, showered, and the second my head hit the pillow, the alarm went off, set the day before to go off at 300 am.

Had an awesome time at Chickenbuck with the crew. Blueberries, canned beverages, laughs, and best of all, great company with wonderful people.

I'm sure ND will be along later today or tomorrow with pics.

Fluff,
Were you installing that pulpit you showed us you were building a while back?

Good to see you survived the trip.

I've had some good times in Chicago. Hate the traffic.

60* and light rain this morning. Love it.

HAHAHAHA that made me laugh out loud!

well mama was gone since thursday, she's due to be home in the next 30 mins, while she was gone, I refinished the hardwood floors, painted 2 accent walls, bought curtains (with my ma's help) and hung them. finished texturing one of the walls that was painted, and still managed to fit in an auction and buy myself a marlin 22 mag bolt action smile I rearranged the upstairs, did all the laundry (mine) and cleaned the whole house. I'm sure hoping she's impressed, cause I busted my butt to get it done. I'm glad my folks were here to help me, cause it was a huge project to take on. I even washed all the dishes. I think I scored mega points with this one. smile I'm sure pooped out, that's for sure

what'd you have to spend for the marlin?
I tried to buy one on gun broker last year,it ended up selling for over $700.
it had a nice stock, but no way I'm going to spend that much.
ended up with a henry lever.

I think the only logical solution is to move to Chickenbuck!

Chickenbuck would work.

Where you going to store all the gear in your shop Dave?

It's going to be tough.

We are looking at a couple of different homes, some with outbuildings and some without. Hard to know what to do.
