The first rain in 32 days is falling right now, accompanied with lots of thunder and lightning.Vernon BC (about 45 miles from here) broke a 109 year old record for longest dry spell.Fires are a real concern right now.Monashee

Something must be wrong. I can remember driving through your state in the late '60s in a rain storm driving up hill with standing water on the hi-way.

Mid-winter down here and I am wearing shorts as I type just finishing grilled thick cut pork chops on the Weber. Perfect.

90% humidity this morning eek

Sam we don't get monsoon rains here...we get thunderstorms this time of year and some get pretty wild. Some will drop heavy rain and hail. Usually with lots of wind like a few days ago that broke off a couple very large trees (18"+ diameter) in town.

Ain't nothing much left here that ice chunks, depending on size, could hurt... and would be a cool and eventually wet welcome.... almost....

I've not seen rain since 11 June.... 19 foot deep 3 acre tank is 20 feet wide, 40 feet long and 2 feet deep. August is NOT a wet month for us...

Ain't that the truth. The catfish are migrating out of my tank and packing sack lunches.

All we got here was a nasty dust storm, someone upstairs forgot to dump the buckets.
