I've tried both the 30" and 32" barrels in a Browning Sporting 725 and I can't decide which I want. It will be used for shooting in a skeet league and the occasional sporting clay and dove hunt. I'm 6'1" and about 205lbs if that makes any difference. They both feel good to me and I was leaning towards the 30" barrel just because it seemed like a good all around length but my buddy who shoots competitively keeps saying the 32" would be much better for me. On this particular gun the 30" gun is 7lbs 8oz and the 32 is 7lbs 10oz, so neither is real heavy. Any suggestions?

While its all about personal preference, I'd go 30" if you're mainly on the skeet field with Sporting and live birds taking a back seat....

32 but I'd take 34's if I could get my hands on em.
I don't even like 28's on a duck gun.

Seeing it sounds like you will be shooting skeet the most I would go 30". If you get hooked on sporting you will wish you got the 32's.

32". I'm 5'5", and have no problem swinging the 32" tubes on my 325 European.

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure either gun would be fine. I keep thinking for an all around hunting/skeet/SC gun the 30" might be a good choice, but that extra sight plane might be nice on long crossers when hunting too. The guys in the skeet league all say 30" and my Sporting Clay buddies all say 32". lol

I've always liked the 32" best. Probably my imagination but it seems to swing smoother. I do have a sporting clays with a 28" barrel and weighted forend that gets a regular workout and I love it too.

I'm really leaning towards 32" because once I get the LOP increased, I'm thinking the 32" will balance better.
