Gentlemen,
Not sure if this should be in the custom rifle section perhaps - but can anyone point me to a photograph of this rifle?

I have nearly all of his gun and hunting books but can't recall a picture of the rifle. He explains in great detail the build but don't recall a picture. I could be wrong and their could be a picture in Big Game Rifles or the Hunting Rifle. powdr

I have 'The Hunting Rifle' and he mentions it, but no picture...

Jack had at least two rifles done my Minar and there are photos of his single shot but I have also been looking for one of his 270 Minar and haven't found one either.

Here is one of mine in case it helps.

Link to another Minar rifle.
Minar rifle

JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

Not the best picture, his rifle is owned by a friend. I've handled the rifle but never took a picture.

There were a couple of articles written about his rifle over the years.

"My Quest of The Minar" by John Jobson, Sports Afield gun Annual 1966.

"O'Connor's Other Rifle" by Bob Hills April, 1980.

"My Quest of the Minar" is in "The Best of John Jobson," as well as the SA Gun Annual. It is an excellent read...but hard to find.

Mpetrov, wonderful - thank you.

(Are you the same Petrov that owns one of Townsend Whelen's Springfield rifles? If so, I thank you for your photo's and articles.)

A real classy rifle Phil. Just oozes class and fine lines.
