If you saw my post about switching out my fuel filter when I lost power then I have something to add..
When I was driving more than 20 miles today I noticed the car would kind of drop off power, then act like someone kicked it in the ass and pick up speed again.
Shift gears
Dropped off a little, ass kick and speed.
Shift into 5th and going highway speed, after keeping consent speed it would kind of drop off until I speed up a little and it would act normal again.
What steps would I take to resolving this? Thinking maybe a spark plug change might be in order.
Thanks all Winnie

Cars are governed by a cpu now and should be diagnosed by one as well.

It sounds like it could be a vacuum leak or any other number of problems ...
Don't throw parts at it until you can narrow it down.

Find someone to scan the system for fault codes. I think a couple of the parts stores will do it free. Once you have the fault codes, you can work from from there to fix it. That will save a lot of time and swapping out parts that may not need to be changed.

If you get the codes, before buying parts, google the code # and check out ALL the possibilities first. OBDII.com has lots of good info.
Could be vacuum leak, clogged cat, egr, tps........find info before you pull out the wallet and start flushing.
