LOL, last thing she laid down was a small 10pt WT buck, standard hunting load uses 300 gr. FFG Black under an 850 gr. patched round ball set off with a top hat musket cap, velocity is in the 1450 fps range. grin

Might try a 223 to see what all the hype is about. Otherwise, nothing under 35 caliber.

Gunner,

Never figured you for a stick and string type. No smoke or recoil... blush

And, I'm concerned about Sharpsguy and others pulling you over to the "dark side"... shocked

That stuff is dirty... crazy

Working on getting a Kodiak Express 54 cal SxS.

to go along with the 45 Colt SxS.

and the 30-30 SxS.

Beyond that 44 mag & 45 colt in revolver form.

hoping to do most from the back porch.

If the season starts getting close with no joy, I'll break out the old reliables, 222 rem and 30-06.

Still working on the ribs of the 30-30.

Here's some of the 45 I built off a 16 gauge, they are old, I haven't been to photogenic lately:

And here's the 54, provided by the owner, mine when I can get up with him. (I'll lose the scope and go iron)

I'd post pics of the 45 Blackhawk, but I seen how you were lusting over the other one for sale.
Don't want to push you over the edge.

Mine's a 1st year production with a 7.5" tube. Prior original owner was my 90 y/o uncle and slept with it on the night stand. I may be the only person to actually shoot it.

This year is about the .257 Roy.
New rifle. New year. Getting back into the swing of it all.
Really looking forward to fall.

You have to buy powder by the 50lb keg to feed that beast.
