You also might try working backwards, look for ideas of places to go and animals and then check regs for seasons/draws/$$/etc.
From what you described, pretty much any western state will have opportunities depending on the animal.
I can't help you with specifics (haven't been out of state yet for hunting), but hanging out on these forums will give you some ideas over time...
Also, wherever you pick make sure you match up the trip to your experience level and condition. The miles can click by very slowly with a 20+% grade and a 40-50 lb pack.
