I planned to buy a Jeep when I got my lotto winning check in the mail, the same day I swore in, I was told no more shifts at my work.

There went the plan to buy a Jeep.

Later someone (friend of family and he worked there as well) heard from the manager that "it didn't matter if I worked there anymore since I was going in the Air Force." mad

Speaking of Air Force it was my plan to join, I was told I was DQ'd for shaking hands. Felt like the future collapsed around me. Then I was told I didn't have shaky hands and I was fine to join.

Now I leave November 26th, which I hoped and planned on leaving around.

Latest plan?

Sell my car (Have a Ford Ranger to drive) and buy parts for my AR 15 build, before I go hunting in Red Bluff so I can use it for squirrels and coyotes.

Bought my first parts towards my AR

So sometimes plans work the way you figured.. sometimes they don't.

Life has it's up and downs. Keep on your course, you'll be in San Antonio before you know it.
Time does speed up as you age.

Take care shakey hands. smile

How long does it take to 'join' the Air Force?

Seems like it'd been easier to get a gig sniffing the swim suits for the Ms America pageant. Are they that particular nowadays? Just asking.

Shaky hands shouldn't be a disqualifier, hell that'd be a great attribute to have in the mess hall puttin them rainbow sprinkles on the all the cupcakes for them hot shots in the one-zipper nomex suits.

Not everybody gets to fly the jets. Which is ok too.

Good luck.

I didn't pay attention to when I first went in until I swore in. But I swore in May 2nd and leave Nov 26th.

That's for sure. Kinda like somebody here said that life was like a roll of toilet paper; the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes.

The Mayans had it right. If youre going to predict the future, its best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.
