Since AR's and Bullet Buttons will be illegal Jan 1st, if I was to buy a lower now to use on an AR, could I sell the lower before my shipping date?
November 26th I leave and can't be around to "register and make it compliant"
Can I sell a lower out of state to someone FTF? Like if I went to Oregon and meet someone from the Fire.
Thank you and California blows.

The lower has the serial number on it. That means it is the firearm. NO FTF out of state sale.

I might do a FTF here in California since it would be before the the new law, then when in a free state buy a stripped lower and throw my parts together on it. It would be easier to borrow one and use it with a upper, just give it back when done.. Anyone?

Strip it and sell it. Buy an 80% lower and finish it yourself. No SN required by BATF.

My advice would be not to mess with any AR stuff so long as you are stuck in Calif. Won't be for much longer so just hang tight, son. <G>

As a resident of California you can't do a FTF in another state. If you take residency where you move to, you're no longer a CA resident and can sell FTF in your new state of residence.

Too much trouble and expense for two months of ownership. Just wait til you get to Texas, and buy all the damn things you want
