When a column of troops under Lt. Col. Francis Smith moved into the countryside to collect arms and munitions gathered by the patriot militia, hostilities erupted at Lexington and Concord on Apr. 19, 1775.

A cousin was on one of these "no shoot" safaris when a lion engaged in eating fresh mead decided to jump into the open land rover and taste the white table fare. No one got hurt, but it reminded me that people who put themselves into close proximity of animals which have a reputation for goring...stompin...chewing...tearing...or injecting venom without proper protection are stupid. Stupid results in death. Sorry for the Dean's family, but he'd been better off if he'd have paid for a hunting safari. Still may have gotten stomped, but at least there'd have been some return fire.

As quoted... they are not sure if the bosy will be returned to the US.... or more than likely, what is left of the body... Elephants v humans leave little of human to be recognized..

as Yogi Berra said, Its like deja vu all over again.
My good friend Nick was in that same resort two years back. He experienced an elephant charge, but was far enough away, where it was not an issue. At the time, their guide had mentioned that tourists had been killed there by animals in the past. I forwarded him the link.

Yea, Peter Faulk.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time by the blood of patriots and tyrants.

OT, but yesterday I saw a pic on FB of a family posed behind a large elephant they had just taken. Sure enough, some whack job lady starts up the 'murderers' diatribe, believing the hunters should be killed, too, etc. So, I went to look at her page and see in her favorite books section, 'satanic manual'...
