I purchased this for a JC Higgins 98 FN build, but recently sold the barreled action. This is a Boyds classic, with checkering and black forend tip and cap. The bolt channel has not been cut. There is one safe ding (pictured) in the stock, otherwise as new. With the custom options, the stock was over $200....asking $160 shipped. http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/product.htm?pid=12633&cat=1223

if a man speaks, and there isn't a woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

Should have been more specific. I have not used this stock with an action...it is 99% inletted from Boyds. Some minor fitting might be required.
