First my Appolgies on the Photos but it was DARK yes dark a We were succesfully using a Chronograph the Cool ne inovation from the Fine Folks over at Brownells / Sinclair

You can read all about it on the MFG web site but I think it a great new product for
anyone who wants to use a chrony in any weather, in any light condition, with out ever having to wait for an opening to go down range, or if you just dont like tha hastle of tring to get it lined up JUST RIGHT to make it work not to mention shooting the Damn thing by mistake.

I will follow up with more details in a couple weeks but for now I'm smiling.

They make two models I chose the one for use with a Brake and larger barrel options

Hey, Dan,
I've had a Magnetospeed for about a year.
They are useful tools.
I shoot at an indoor range that will NOT allow you past the firing line for any reason , ever.
And it has worked for me when developing loads for my 5.7 X 28.

They have been very helpful getting the thing working.
The first one I bought broke the very first time I strapped it on!
But they replaced the mount free, and quickly.

The magnets have a hard time picking up every small slug.
( they don't read magnetism, but a break in the mag field )
And I usually end up using the .22 setting.

But it does work and compares VERY close to other chronos.

I've never seen anyone mount the read out on his gun! Clever.
I just bench mine.

My goal is to make a pistol "sled" to use it for handguns.
Maybe I'll get it out again...

Paul

I have been considering the purchase of a chrono. I believe I have just made up my mind which one it will be. Thanks for the info.

Since I shoot for groups at 200+ yards while using a chronograph I don't care for the magneto speed myself. Anything hanging off my barrel that changes harmonics also changes POI, neat little gadget, and very useful for some, just not everyone's cup of tea.

I have a cool chronograph too. Yesterday, I ventilated it!
