Hey guys,
I am looking for a 336A Delux model (standard delux, not the ultra delux), 30-30, as purely a shooter. Would prefer one that is drilled and tapped. Refinished stock, cut for recoil pad, reblued etc. is fine, as long as it is used and not abused, good headspace, very good bore, and tight mechanics.
I only have a few years left to deer hunt, and I want to carry something with style. I'm done with the the high powered calibers in synthetic stocks. (No soul.)
Does anyone have one to sell for a reasonable price? (I am an experienced collector as well as a hunter, so please, no pie in the sky quotes to this old man. :-)

Mannyrock, good choice, but no help here. My beater '48 ADL isn't for sale, but I admire yout taste. All my magnums have gone elsewhere, and the only plastic I have is a Mini-14. Not sure how much soul they have in wood, so I do not fret that one. I hate it that I'm a short timer, but I am discovering that age is a comfortable mental state. Not too crazy about the physical defects. Best wishes, jack
