Is made to use the 1/4"x28 M700 rear action screw, which solves the only problem with the Model 7 as far as I'm concerned. Olive with black specks. Like new - glass bedded. $410 shipped. Rem factory hardwood youth stock. 12.5" LOP over Remington factory solid pad. Full-length bedded for mountain rifle contour barrel, but can easily be sanded out for larger contour. Accepts factory Model 7 bottom metal. $70 shipped.

Is the contour of the mtn rifle barrel the same as that of the model 7?

I think it's heavier. But absolutely no big deal to get a dowel rod and some sandpaper and make it into whatever you want.
