didnt say that chit doesnt happen, said they dont intentionally hunt us.....tigers and bulls intentionally eat people....whites bite through mistaken identity.....they dont tend to pay people much mind when they can clearly see what we are and arent worked up cause of chum in the water....aint enough fat on us for them to be interested in eating us....digesting large chunks of meat takes energy and since whites are also warm blooded they are not interested in wasting time digesting lean meat which is why they let go after the exploritory bite.....
sharks dont have fingers but the base of their teeth is loaded with nerves and they can tell a hell of alot about what a critter is and isnt by mouthing it.....however when a human gets mouthed by a 15 foot fish with a mouth full of steak knives there are dire consiquences even if its not interested in eating you....

I'll pass on trying that, same reason I won't surf. I had a 7' bull shark try playing with me while in a kayak once fishing. no thanks Whats wrong with that? That's what we target on the norhtern Texas coast This is a 6' shark I got back in July ![[Linked Image]](http://i609.photobucket.com/albums/tt176/Brumbaugh/Kayak%20Stuff/DPID4_zps603fd063.jpg) In May, I had my line snap with a 7' bullshark next to the boat. You get over in and you paddle back out. I know several guys who have teeth marks in their yaks from aggresive bull sharks during matting season.

encase you didn't know Dickie I do a lot of shark fishing and have been known to paddle baits out over a Half mile in the surf. I've had a run in or two with big tigers , and with more big bull sharks than other species Don't know how many times I've dropped a bait only to get back to shore and one of my buddy's is already fighting a big bull that picked up the bait as soon as it was dropped. Right? Wading those same baits out at night is some creepy stuff. The upper Texas coast is much different than the lower. The water is almost always murky and the troughs are shallower between the bars. It is unbelievably rich in sea life, and things are constantly running into you at night. We don't have near as many tigers as the lower coast, but probably more bulls. If we had the tigers at you guys do, I don't think I would do it.

Having survived a shark attack with only very minor injuries, I can't watch that schit. Can you tell us about that? Completely understand if can't/rather not. I've thought of that so many times it would be interesting to compare fact from imagination.

I've been attacked by sharks several times. It seems that they have an aversion to a human kneeling on them.
