Decided that with the cooler fall weather coming it was time to play with the Reminngton 660. Got lucky with first load I tried. 38 grains of H-380 behind an 85 grain Barnes TSX at 100 yards. I think I will stick with that combo. Have another 600 Mohawk coming from my uncle and looking forward to shooting it in a couple weeks. By the way, that load wasn't so great in my Ithical .243. It expanded to about 1.5 inches. WIll have to work on it.

I'll take that off your hands if you want. I had a 660 in 308 that shot well. Great shooters they were for sure.

Not for sale of course. I bought the rifle new in the early 70's and later sold it to my uncle. Traded it back from him last fall. Hadn't been shot much.
Have a Model 600 Mohawk coming from him in a couple weeks. It belonged to my best friend who was killed tragically 30 some years ago. I got it from his estate for my uncle. Now I am getting it back along with the memories. Hope it shoots as well.
