Well it took 9 years but I finally drew a President's Island buck tag. Archery Only 9 points or better. Got my packet in the mail this week. Probably be the only time I ever get drawn for it.

I've seen some big deer there, but I can sure think of a bunch other places I'd sooner hunt.

That looks cool. Unfortunately for me it's not a 3 hour drive away. You said you have seen some big deer on PI, when did you get to hunt PI? Was it before the floods? Always looking for TN public land info.

Good luck, but I have not and will not put in for that hunt unless they change the rules. No way am I going to put in for a hunt for who knows how many years to only go and it be my luck that a 150" 8 pointer walks by and you cannot legally kill it. Not bashing your opportunity, but that is one the TWRA that makes absolutely no sense to me, especially since Daryl stated on a public forum that it would probably make no difference if they did not have any restrictions at all.

i was talking to pat today and told him i thought the hardest tag in TN was an elk tag but motor oil is motor oil
