Hi everyone,
The Idaho Varminters club is putting on a tournament, "Blast From The Past". It's a hand/ mouth calls only and hunting on public ground only hunt. Registration is thurs. evening the 3rd of Oct. at the Great Wall Chinese restaraunt on Eagle Rd. in Meridian,ID. Rules and regs will be read there. The hunt is the 4th & 5th of Oct. Teams consist of two hunters. We welcome family and kids as long as they're old enough to hunt legally. Come on out and join us, this is a fun hunt.

Well, our first tournament of the season went off well. Thirteen teams entered, there was a total of 28 coyotes brought in, first place had 6 and second and third place each had 5. Big male was 38.2 lbs., big female was over 26lbs., and little dog was 16 lbs.
We had two beautiful days for calling/hunting, no wind, lots of sunshine. I called one in and missed it at 45 yds. Still asking myself how I did that. Also called in a few crows and one group of mule deer does and fawns. Saw lot's of antelope. God time had by all and lots of fun.
