Wow- outstanding collection! That took some doing to get all three calibers. You've gotta be thrilled to finally have them all together! Have you shot all of them?
I'd love to see some more photos of that reloading room set up. Looks like it puts my little room to shame!
The only one I have not had a chance to shoot is the 375H&H, waiting on an extended front scope base to mount a Leupold 2-7. Left to right, 375, 416, 458. The 458 Lott was previously owned by another campfire member, found it on this forum. I will try to post some additional images of my reloading room, fairly tight space, but fairly workable layout.
What a lovely trio. The RSM's were, in my opinion, the nicest rifle Ruger made. The Express models in 270, 30/06, 300 and 338 were a close second. I have a modest collection of the RS tang safety models, but they can't hold a candle to those lovelies. Nice, now they need to go to Africa. Bfly
Be nice and work hard, you never have enough time or friends.
I think every one that used to like Ruger and even those that still do needs to look at these three beauties! Cause they are no longer! If I had not gone Winchester I would have gone RSM's!
Grizzley4570, Man you need to take some real nice pictures of these and use them as your avatar. That 416 looks to have some real nice furniture! Congrats!
404 J is a "Ghost", lots of rumors that Ruger made a few, but I have never found anyone who has actually seen one! That being said, if I could find one, I would sure love to have it....
The RSM's were made in 458 Lott, 416 Rigby and 375 H&H(rumor that a couple 404 Jeffers were made but never left the factory). RSM's also had the 3 leaf express sights. The express was the same circassian walnut stock, just different calibers and no 3 leaf express sight. Beautiful factory rifles, a little heavy in the lighter calibers.
