I secured permission to hunt a tract of land south of Lakeville, Mn. Landowner seems like a real nice guy and really wants me to kill some deer out there. I tried to offer up some sweat equity labor in exchange for letting me hunt, but he said no-just go shoot some deer. He say's he's crawling with deer and turkeys, so if this pans out, I'm in pretty good shape. Hoping to scout it next week. Thinking this will be for muzzleloader season. Can't wait to check it out. Congrats!!!

Anyone ever try to fix a trail cam? I took apart my Truth Cam 35 because it hasn't worked for over a year. I left it out and the weather got the best of it... It didn't work but it was worth a shot. T - Wally World has brand new Truth 35's for $79.00 I have a POS Moultrie D55 IR that took three pics when I was setting it up and has not taken ONE pic in the field. I can't believe that company is still in business

Yes Colorado ants are gone :-) at least they weren't fire ants!
Rooster I'm hear ya my first moldedtree camera didn't
work straight from the package I returned it and after about a month of hassles I finally got it back .

Sounds great. Do you know if you can still muzzle-load if you tag-out in rifle-season? Having something so close to the cities sounds like a great way to get more hunting in.

It's getting close to deer season. We could punch out 9 pages in a day.  Good luck out there Ryan! Grizzly Bill reported in from his fishing trip on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage today. They were able to get the Vikings game on so the trip was looking up after the motor trouble they had this morning.  Sorry about the motor trouble Bill, that does throw a stink into a fun trip. Good luck to you the rest of the way.

Raise a glass to an old friend of mine that I just got word...passed yesterday in a 4-wheeler accident on the iron range. Prayers to his family for a horrible time. He left behind a wife and two small kids.

Yeah, I'm hoping, but I think it's going to be a few miles south of the border. good for you gopher! the border is cty rd 70 / cty rd 8. the area I have permission to hunt is in area 338,which has antler point restrictions, but does allow 2 antlerless. at least it did last year, havent had time to look this year.

Thanks guys. I don't have anymore details on the accident. My mom told me the news. She and my step dad knew him well because he was a member of the 148th fighter group, ANG base in Duluth.
