I got the picture yesterday, Ryan is probably still celebrating today, I would be. I hope the other guys did as well as Ryan.

I checked the DNR website-no doe tag for me this year. Gonna have to make sure I shoot 5 down in South East for the early antlerless season.

I saw the pics from Rapid City. News said they could get over a foot of snow. Even Nebraska could see snow. Been raining here since Friday morning. Still haven't turned the furnace on.

Heading down southeast this morning to scout for the early antlerless hunt. Tags available over the counter, 5 doe limit, and it doesn't count against your limits during the other deer seasons. 'Just gotta give this a try. Hoping to figure out the boundaries of where I can hunt and find a couple promising spots. Momma's tagging along as we get very little time alone and away these days. Hope this danged rain holds off.

Whoop whoop! My weekend work got canceled! I have a little guy football game today, then I'm heading up north to put out some cameras and maybe swat a few grouse. Small bit of scouting.hell I just want to be in the woods.
Good luck jeff! If for whatever reason you don't get a doe, when you come hunt with Jack and I, it's an either sex zone, so you have your choice.
Camp is where you make it.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.
45/70,it's almost a religion.
If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Returned from Wyoming Thursday night. Left Buffalo at 1030 in the morning, in the rain. Got home 1130 PM. Drove in rain the entire trip. I got two lopers opening day. Dropped them at Big Horn Meat Cutting Wed. morning and they said they would be ready at 10 am the next morning so we could get out of town before the snow. We went back out hunting but the wife did not find anything to shoot and did not want to try too hard as she wanted beat the snow more than get anymore lopers. Called the friends in Rapid City and told them we were heading home to avoid the blizzard they were going to get.
A great trip, good hunt, fun in the hills and great service at Big Horn meat cutting.
PS Thanks colorado1135 for advising to hunt the opener !!!!

Your tribal name for her is flawed, she's eaten my chili. I was going to lay a bet out there for the kids that if they beat me with my own rifle, they can have the rifle. But I have a feeling that splashy would take my nylon 66 away from me if I put that deal out there. I guess I'll have to purchase something a little more expendable, like a 10/22. Then I can put the bet out there. Is this kid included in that bet?
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Been a while since I posted any house pics. It only took a little over an hour to put all the trusses up. Thanks to Uncle Cletus for the use of his boom and skid steer. Interior walls done on south side. We're going to get ready for shingles today but it was raining so we worked inside instead.
