At the end of Sept. I completed 20 years of retirement. Best time of my life. Find things to do that you never could before and enjoy.

Prepare ahead for the first long winter months w/o a time and attention consuming schedule. That's when I flunked retirement and went back through those doors that wee "never going to hit me in the ass again".

My mom retired about 4 years ago at age 55. The only regret she has was not doing 5 years before she did.

Congrats! I've been a home boy since Aug 1 and am loving it. Believe it or not, my wife also loves having me home all day. Some wives despair when hubby talks about retirement...and sometimes for good reason.

Never thought I'd see the day, but I'll be officially retired as of 11/01/2013. I started this gig when I was 19 and it's been one hell of a good ride, but after 25 years, it's time to close one chapter and open another. Congratulations, GW!
