Absolutely beautiful! I have a thread going right now about a synthetic stock on something similar yet not anywhere near the same class. If I had a quarter the skills with wood there would be no question the walnut was the way to go.
Thank you for sharing, definitely a rifle I would aspire to have built someday. Nick

Dang, You guys saw it before I did. Kobe does a nice stock and Dennis Olson does excellent metal work.

Pat, I am lucky that I have a Grandson that likes to shoot them. It is too big for me.

WONDERFUL rifle! I had a VZ-24 in 458LOTT for a while, but I accidentally left it behind In Africa and it is still doing yeoman work on Elephant etc. in the hands of a PH friend of mine there. Great combo, great cartridge.

I bought the metal work from another forum from ozhunter. The rifle was being built for his PH in Mozambique. A client accidentally shot the PH in the shoulder. Ozhunter donated the funds from the sale of the metal work to the PH. A very kind gesture.

That is sweet! Congrates to you both. You'd have to pay me a dollar to shoot it though!

Beautiful rifle. Just curious, what work had to be done to the action so it would handle the length of the Lott?

Looking at early photos before it went to Kobe, it appears that it had extensive work, both bottom and top of the receiver. Check with Dennis Olson.

Great job on the build. Great wood. I like the placement of the rear sight. I had a stock CZ Model 550 in.458 Lott. I liked shooting it and was easier on the shoulder than my Remington 700 in .338 RUM - Ugh! How much does it weigh and are you contemplating scoping it? Is Africa in the plans?
