The "back" button on my computer has started in sending me back two pages instead of just one. Ran a malware scan and a virus scan, got no hits. Anyone ever have this problem? How to fix? Very aggravating. Thanks.

Not being a wise arse but have you cleaned your key board lately? That usually fixes it for me..

Well, I did in fact, month or so ago. Don't understand what the keyboard would have to do with the "back" button, as it gets operated by the mouse. confused

The backspace key on your keyboard also performs the "back" function if you are not inputting text into a box. It could also be that your mouse is wearing out, and is clicking twice. I have had a few mice do that, and they were replaced shortly after it started, because it was double clicking constantly.

Does it do the same thing if you use the backspace key on the keyboard, or if you use a different mouse?

I'll try that for a while, see what happens. Thanks.

That's just for troubleshooting. I'm all for making things work the way you want them to work.

My question was only an attempt to figure out if the problem was the mouse itself or something else. Once we identify the culprit, hopefully we can get things working just the way you'd prefer that they do. smile

Hello this is HAJ at the campfire PC support desk. Let me open a support ticket for your issue!

Now tell me your problem in detail so the next person up the chain can ask the same questions.

LOL

We need to get you a job or everyone on the fire is going to have pristine blazing fast PC's running Ubuntu and firefox with ad-blocker.

You will single handed take down half of the bitching posts and drop ad revenue for poor ol Rick into the crapper.

Just teasing before I get a virus.

Your suggestion worked, it was indeed the mouse. New one as soon as I get to Wallyworld. Thanks again.

Losing, i mean loosing, smile those IE threads would speed up the 'fire.

It's almost like someone continually getting speeding tickets and complaining about them.

All the buddies say "stop speeding then!"

the reply is "why should I stop speeding? I like to drive fast!"

YMMV.
