Helps to know what you want to fish for and what timeframe you're looking at, if it's fixed.

I'd skip Haines and Skagway.

Yup I would skip Haines and Skagway as well.

I would head to Gull Cove and fish on the Yakobi. Just plan a few extra days to account for weather, as it will be a floatplane trip from Juneau.

The problem is, this late in the year, most good, reputable charter guides are pretty well booked for the next season and as far as halibut that early in the season, in the Juneau area, might be a bit sparse.
